Enthusiastic Brentford strived for an equalizer through multiple attempts, but Foden thwarted their rally and completed his hat-trick 20 minutes from time with another accurate shot after exchanging passes with Haaland.

City’s turnaround in the scoreline was not unexpected as they have won their last three away league games despite trailing. On the other hand, Brentford’s record is the worst in the league in terms of relinquishing leads, costing them 26 points this season.
